Heal Your Inner-Child Workshop

This 3-hour half theory, half-practical in-person workshop will provide an introduction to transforming childhood trauma and learning how we can develop healthier and more fulfilling ways of relating in every aspect of our lives.

Most of our core beliefs, fears, behaviours, and values are developed in our childhood.

Research has proven that trauma and painful experiences can stay trapped in the body and oftentimes create an internal blueprint that protects and defends the individual from possibly experiencing that pain again.

The ego (mind) and nervous system can re-enact the previous trauma over and over again preventing the person from truly moving forward in their lives, and being trapped in a state of fear and anxiety.

It can hinder the person from feeling safe or experiencing the level of vulnerability required to deepen intimacy. As conscious adults, we can track back to where the original trauma occurred and meet our inner child to fulfill the needs that were not met at that particular time.

This workshop will provide an introduction to transforming childhood trauma and learning how we can develop healthier and more fulfilling ways of relating in every aspect of our lives.

Healing the inner child will involve creating a new relationship with the parts of ourselves that get triggered, that feel fear, and vulnerable. We will know we’ve progressed when the things that used to throw us off-center, into a state of anxiety, shame, or guilt no longer affect us.

We will find ourselves being able to experience deeper vulnerability, acceptance, and compassion with ourselves and others.

  • Reparenting the inner child How to meet your inner child and heal past trauma through somatic therapy and meditation.

  • Understand what a child needs for healthy development Healthy mother/father traits and how to embody them.

  • Understand attachment theory, the different types, and how to come into secure attachment.

  • Recognising unhealthy dating/relationship patterns and how to shift them.

  • Different ways to self-regulate your nervous system.

  • Mindfulness in relationships Understanding feminine/masculine energy.
